250 jobs saved with Poundstretcher swoop 9 February 2012
Discount store group UGO has been sold to low-cost retail chain Poundstretcher in a pre-pack deal that safeguarded 245 jobs.
Administrators John Russell and Gareth Rusling of The P&A Partnership secured the sale shortly after being appointed to handle the business’ affairs.
All staff employed at UGO’s 20 stores across the north of England and East Midlands have been transferred to Poundstretcher.
